At Coffee Culture Travel, we believe travel should transform the way you see the coffee world.

No matter if you are a coffee shop owner, coffee roaster, barista, or coffee adventurer, you want more than a trip to a coffee farm, you want to feel connected to the source. But too often, coffee travel feels surface-level, and coffee businesses and roasters struggle to stand out in a crowded industry.

For over 15 years, we’ve been building relationships in Antigua, Guatemala, named the Napa Valley of coffee origins, helping people experience coffee from seed-to-cup. Our local team handles all the logistics, so you can focus on what matters: connecting, learning, and being inspired.

Coffee in Guatemala has a complicated history built on exploitation and challenged today by climate change and social pressures that threaten its very survival. But out of these challenges, a new movement is taking root. Specialty coffee is reimagining what this crop can mean: traceable, fairly traded, and grown with regenerative practices that honor both people and the land. With every innovation in farming and every cup brewed with care, coffee is becoming more than a trend, it’s a path toward sustainable development and a brighter future for the communities who grow it.

What people are saying

"I’ve been roasting coffee for nearly a decade, but this trip gave me an entirely new lens. Walking the farms, meeting producers, and seeing the meticulous care at every stage brought a deeper respect for the beans I handle every day. Now when I profile a Guatemalan coffee, I can picture the exact hillside, the volcanic soil, and the people behind it."

Mark Trujillo

"As someone who loves coffee and owning a coffee shop, this experience was life-changing. I didn’t know what to expect beyond a beautiful first trip to origin, but I left with an entirely new appreciation. From picking cherries on the farm to cupping in Antigua, every day was hands-on and inspiring. I’ll never drink a cup the same way again, and this has helped me with my business model greatly."

Abigail Smith

"Being behind the bar as a barista, I’ve always wanted to understand more about the coffees I serve. This trip made that possible. Seeing the full journey from seed to cup gave me stories to share with customers and reminded me why I fell in love with coffee in the first place."

Whitney Mae

"Owning a coffee shop and roastery, it’s easy to get caught up in the daily grind - staffing, ordering, operations, I felt like I could never get away. This trip was the reset I needed. Building real relationships with farmers and tasting coffees right at origin gave me new inspiration for my menu and my brand. Our customers can feel that authenticity now."

Michael Dorr

"We’ve traveled plenty, but nothing compares to exploring Guatemala through the lens of coffee. The landscapes, the people, the meals shared after long days on the farm - it was unforgettable. We came home with new friends, full hearts, and a deep connection to every cup we brew."
